Dacre HNS 2009

The Survey

755 survey forms were delivered by hand and by post to the households and businesses of the parish of Dacre (100%), with a return date of 30th May 2009.  234 households returned their completed forms.   This is a return rate of 30.99% which is just below the average 35% return rate for this type of survey in Cumbria since the beginning of 2006. Cumbria Rural Housing Trust expresses its thanks to the Parish Council and others in the community for their work to promote the survey.

Of the returned forms, there were 38 responses, saying that either the whole household or someone living within the household wished to move within the parish in the next 5 years.

Housing Need

38 survey responses indicate a housing need, and of these 9 households are in need of affordable housing within the next 5 years in the parish of Dacre, 2 within the LDNP area and 7 outside the LDNP area. The main need is for rented accommodation.   2 other households were in need of affordable housing but indicated that they needed to move elsewhere.

3 of the 31 households stated that they were registered on the Local Authority and/or a Housing Association or other waiting list.
